Products
Skincare products should always be applied from thinnest to thickest. Water-based products, like toners and serums, go on first because they absorb quickly into the skin. Finish with thicker creams or facial oils to lock in hydration, and always apply SPF as the final step in your morning routine.
Natural ingredients have a different shelf-life compared to mass-produced, chemically-preserved products. To ensure that your products are used during their time of optimal freshness, we recommend storing all products in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and using them within 12 months of opening.
'Natural' products in the beauty industry refer to using ingredients sourced from nature, omitting potentially harmful synthetics and harsh preservatives.
We use organic ingredients whenever possible. Organic ingredients comply with standards for organic farming, which includes using no pesticides or herbicides, hormones, or antibiotics on the crops.
Yes, we use preservation in our water based products to protect you as consumers. Preservatives are needed in skincare that contains water to prevent the growth of mold, bacteria, yeast, and fungus. We use paraben-free and formaldehyde-free preservatives.
Our products do not contain common allergens such as dairy, gluten, nuts, soy, or eggs. Some of our products contain some essential oils which may cause skin irritation. If you have a history of having skin that is extra-sensitive to skincare products, we recommend conducting a patch test first. Apply product to a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to test sensitivity before full application.

Yes, alcohol free toner is better. Alcohol dehydrates the skin and can allow for certain skin issues, like oiliness, dryness, and blemishes/acne, to occur. If alcohol is found within the first four ingredients of a product, it is going to have an effect on the skin. The goal is to have enough good bacteria on your skin, and alcohol creates an imbalance in the skin’s levels of good and bad bacteria. The alcohol interferes with your skin’s natural acid mantle and dries and kills good bacteria on your skin. Our facial toner uses hydrosols, which are made from steam distilling plant material. This process is also used in creating essential oils. Hydrosols contain many nutrients from plant materials and are much gentler on the skin. The hydrosol base helps to moisturize, sooth, and tone the skin as opposed to products with an alcohol base.
Yes, hydrosols in toners are very good for your skin. Hydrosols are the product of steam distilled plant material, and they help to hydrate, exfoliate, and tone the skin. They are naturally pH balancing, astringent, and toning. These properties make hydrosols beneficial for all skin types. Our toner incorporates a hydrosol blend of witch hazel and lavender.
Witch hazel helps to regulate the skin’s oil production, and also nourishes, tightens, soothes, and can reduce breakouts. Witch hazel hydrosol is made up of between 5% and 12% of tannins, flavonoids, and catechins. These ingredients have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Witch hazel hydrosol provides a cooling sensation, helps reduce tissue swelling, and can help reduce redness of the skin.
Lavender hydrosols are antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, relaxing, and balancing to sebaceous glands. In our toner, lavender hydrosol helps calm and soothe the skin. It works to balance dry and oily skin types. Our toner’s unique blend of witch hazel and lavender hydrosols makes it the perfect toner for all skin types.
Yes! Fruit acids are absolutely good for acne. Acne occurs when bacteria, oil, and debris get locked in the skin. Unlike synthetic acid blends, our fruit acid gel contains alpha hydroxy acids from fruit; these acids are exfoliants that help remove dead skin cells. Fruit acid is especially beneficial for individuals with acne prone skin, but it can be used by individuals of any skin type. We highly recommend our fruit acid gel to teenagers who are experiencing mild breakouts and/or acne. The fruit acids in our gel will help with the overproduction of oils on the skin, which can help minimize breakouts. Use this product in conjunction with our Natural Beauty Trio for the ultimate acne fighting skincare routine.
Yes, fruit acids are good for your skin. Fruit acids are considered skincare super heroes because of how effectively they combat the signs of aging. They can help to minimize fine lines and wrinkles, exfoliate, brighten, and improve the skin’s tone and texture. Our fruit acid gel contains alpha hydroxy acids, which are hydroxy acids that naturally occur in fruits. Alpha hydroxy acids help to visibly brighten the skin, promote collagen production, promote blood flow to the skin, and minimize and correct discoloration.
Over-the-counter products will have lactic and glycolic alpha hydroxy acids, but our fruit acid gel is a combination of four alpha hydroxy acids (lactic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid, and tartaric acid). Our fruit acid gel is also infused with algae, aloe, and licorice root extract to hydrate,
soothe, and naturally lighten hyperpigmentation on the skin.
Fruit acids can be good for all skin types, but are especially helpful to those with aging and acne prone skin. Proper exfoliation is key to maintaining a healthy skin barrier, and that is why most can find fruit acids beneficial. Those that have redness and skin sensitivities should avoid acids, or use them at extremely low concentrations.
Without a doubt, YES! Oils can be extremely beneficial to the skin as they promote skin healing, and nourishment. They can help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce dry patches, and are great for balancing the skin's natural oil production.
The answer to this can vary, but there is one main component to finding success with a facial oil, and that's understanding comedogenicity.
The comedogenicity of oils is a rating used to determine the likelihood of the oils ability to clog the pores and cause breakouts. It's imperative to use oils on your face that score low on this scale.
In our Antioxidant Facial Oil we use a blend of Olive Squalane, Organic Evening Primrose, Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil, and Organic Jojoba Oil. These oils are all considered to be non-comedogenic, or non-pore clogging.
More often than not, yes. For those with oily skin, when we strip the skin of it's natural oils, our skin can go into over production mode and cause more sebum build up. When you have oily skin, applying an oil can replenish your skin's natural oil levels therefore keeping breakouts at bay.
The right oils, non-comedogenic varieties, can help balance the skin. Our facial oil is an antioxidant with organic evening primrose oil, olive derived squalane oil, and hemp extract. Our oil blend is crafted to soothe acne-prone skin and can help prevent breakouts. The organic evening primrose oil protects the skin from radical damage, restores moisture balance in the skin, and
soothes skin irritations. It is fast-absorbing and helps to soothe acne and reduce future breakouts.
Yes. Rose clay is great for those with sensitive skin. It has skin calming, anti-aging, and cleansing benefits. Rose clay, sometimes referred to as pink clay, is a natural kaolinite claythat can be sourced from soils that exist in moist climates including Brazil, Bulgaria, France, the United Kingdom, Iran, Germany, India, Australia, and a few other countries.
Our clay face mask contains rose clay and white kaolin clay to absorb excess oil and prevent acne blemishes, and these clays are well-suited for people with sensitive skin. We also use colloidal oatmeal and honey powder in our clay mask to soothe and pull moisture into the skin.
They can - it all depends on whether they are active or inactive. When you add water to a clay, it activates the clay. So, clay face masks made with water, need to contain strong preservatives to provide an adequate shelf life (6 months to 1 year). Without water, clay face masks have an pretty long shelf life. Our clay face mask is inactive with no water, meaning that it doesn’t need preservatives and has a really long shelf life (2 years). When getting ready to make a mask, you'll need to add a bit of water to activate the clay prior to use. We consider this an easy feet, in order to keep this product preservative free and all natural.
